Second Opinion on Your IT Provider

Not sure whether your current IT provider is delivering what your business is paying for? MWITS can provide a confidential second opinion before you make any decision to change providers.

The goal is not to manufacture a reason to switch. We review the arrangement objectively. If the current setup is appropriate, we will say so. If there are material gaps, duplication, avoidable risk or unclear ownership, we will explain them in plain language.

What we review

Depending on the information available, we can review your support agreement, monthly IT spend, Microsoft 365 licensing, endpoint security, MFA, backup coverage, patching, network management, documentation, response expectations and technology ownership.

Common issues a second opinion can uncover

  • Microsoft 365 licences that are duplicated, underused or poorly matched to users.
  • Security products being billed without clear evidence of deployment or monitoring.
  • Microsoft 365 data with no independent backup.
  • MFA or privileged-account controls that are incomplete.
  • Devices that are not consistently patched or managed.
  • Domains, DNS, firewalls or administrator accounts controlled only by the provider.
  • Support agreements that are difficult to compare because inclusions are unclear.
  • Recurring problems being treated reactively rather than permanently resolved.

What to send us

You can start with as little as your current monthly invoice and a description of the problems you are experiencing. If available, a proposal, service agreement, Microsoft licence list or recent technology report can provide additional context.

What you receive

We will explain what appears appropriate, what deserves clarification and what we would prioritise if MWITS were responsible for the environment. Where a deeper technical assessment is needed, we can recommend the Free IT Health Check or a structured discovery.

Already thinking about switching?

Review our IT provider transition process. MWITS can map Microsoft 365, domains, networking, backups, documentation and vendor access before the incumbent provider is asked to hand anything over.

Request a confidential second opinion

Contact MWITS and mention “Second Opinion”. Your initial discussion is treated confidentially and does not require you to notify your existing provider.
